For many years Gallery Residents have collected food to help those who are not so fortunate at Christmas time. Each year we have increased the amount of food donated.
It was at Brenda Cook's initiative that we started this tradition. As most of you know, Brenda passed away on November 21 and through one of many discussions with her husband Tom, she expressed her wish that we could all give a little more this year.
Brenda was born on the 16th day in 1961 at passed away at age 61.
It was Brenda's wish that we try to collect 610 lbs. of food this year.
It is a very ambitious goal I know, but not impossible. Below is a list of some much needed items.
The little sleigh that Tom built is in place in the Fireside Lounge where you can put your donations. Give when convenient and as much as you can. All donations will be weighed and taken to the Food Bank on a regular basis. We will provide updates on the total. THANK YOU!
