Thanks to Jean Cherwaiko for the following report on the Green Cart Program. Approximately 55 people attended the information meeting on Tuesday morning.
Could you post a reminder on the blog of the following:
- The Green bin is located in the move in room on the first floor.
- Please carry your full kitchen catcher bin to the move in room to dispose of your compost. DO NOT carry just the compostable bag as it will drip on the new carpet.
- New posters will be displayed clearly showing what is Compost/Recycling/Garbage.
- If you are unsure of where to dispose of an item, you can phone Halton Region at 311 and ask.
- We do still have a separate white battery bucket in the move in room for all household batteries.
- We also have a separate blue bin for light bulb disposal.
- You can dispose of shredded paper in your COMPOST bin.
- You can dispose of pots, pans and metal baking trays in the blue recycling bin.
