Tom Cook & Gloria Sinclair

Thank you everyone for coming out tonight.

When I first conceived up this idea of having a lighting ceremony I thought it would be fun to have someone be the official igniter.  Tom Cook came to mind immediately.  Tom and Brenda moved into The Gallery in 2015 and while Brenda was still working outside the home Tom put his name forth to be on the Residents Advisory Committee.  He worked very hard for us during that time and he had a wonderful mentor who was John Lenz.  We have just heard today that John passed away and our thoughts are with June during her loss.  They were a great team at The Gallery.  Ironically, tomorrow will be 1 year since Brenda passed away and she and Tom were also a great team.

Brenda and Tom were always thinking of others.  They were responsible for starting our annual Christmas food collection for others not so fortunate and Tom has had a plaque made in Brenda's honour that will be put on the little sleigh that Tom built and is used to collect the food.

Tom was always pushing us to give a little more and I know he will probably be in touch after he moves to find out the total this year.  

Tom is moving to London and we wish you much happiness.
