Today (Feb. 15) is National Flag Day, so named to commemorate the new Canadian flag that was raised for the first time on Parliament Hill in 1965.  

On the 150th year of Canada's birthday in 2017, a new flag pole at The Gallery was installed and donated by Bob Marshall in memory of his wife Wilma who passed that same year.

There is an inscribed plaque near the pole that is very tarnished and difficult to read.  I am going to try and clean it up.
