Fall
It’s fall once again with the kids back in school
The leaves will be falling as that is the rule
But first they show off all their colours so bright
In our neighbourhood that makes our fall just right
For winter with snow storms is coming once more
When fall has arrived it knocks at our door
Snow covers our sidewalks and piles on our cars
So love this fall time it’s much better by far
The trees are preparing to take a long rest
The green leaves of summer have changed for the best
The branches of trees will be bare by and by
Silhouettes reaching upwards to scratch the dark sky
Yes fall is a time we look forward to change
Our schedule is something that we rearrange
When outside work is finished again
And time on the inside will finally reign
Our summer is past and winter’s not here
There’s family times coming that fill us with cheer
There’s bright leaves in colours of crimson and gold
My friend my short story of fall has been told
By Greg Howard.
